Mattie Groves Brewery is located in Midtown Sacramento’s Handle District, in a beautiful one-story brick building built in 1930, with original architectural elements intact and highlighted, including the brick walls, exposed rafters, high vaulted ceilings, and skylights. In addition, the historic flooring is composed of terracotta tiles that were manufactured by Gladding McBean out of Lincoln, CA and feature black and green enameled embellishments.

Long banquet style trestle tables that furnish the taproom, built with techniques used as far back as the Vikings, were constructed by Katie’s uncle out of a single cedar tree he felled near Georgetown, CA. Deeper into the building, the brewing area is comprised of a 10-Bbl brewhouse, six fermenters, and a brite tank.
